CANDIDATE SCORECARD

JazzHR Customers need a way to equalize and capture comparable candidate feedback across hiring team members.

RESEARCH + DISCOVERY

Scorecard as an idea generated from our sales team. 🚩

As part of our roadmap, I and scorecard's Product Manager set out to do some discovery work to prove the validity of this roadmap item. 

​

Part of our work included a competitive analysis, surveying our users and cataloging Salesforce feature requests as well as user interviews to better understand this need.

🚩I've labeled this as a red flag because this roadmap generation is contrary to best practices in UX. It is my core belief that items should end up on a roadmap after idea validity and quantitative and qualitative metrics have been thoroughly documented across teams. 

RESEARCH

As part of our work, I designed high fidelity prototypes to test with our users and gather their feedback. We recruited users via Pendo, and recording via Zoom and Loom. All protocols and questions were written by me.

EARLY DESIGN + ITERATION

Initially, the team and I worked on a design that would utilize custom "jazzmojis" that would serve to rate the candidate. Not only did users hate jazzmojis billing them as unprofessional, but more perhaps more importantly thought they were difficult to quantify when rating a candidate. 

THE RESULT

Ultimately, Candidate Scorecard was released as an MVP to all of our users.

Since it's release, we have been tracking KPIs via a Periscope Dashboard, and feedback via Maze, Product Feature Requests and User Interviews. 

Phase 2 of Candidate Scorecard criteria includes: 

​

  • links to the scorecard for external users to utilize scorecard
  • attach the scorecards to an interview (similar to launch screen)
  • track candidate scorecards for reporting purposes
  • The ability for Interviewers to be able to submit scorecards

PROTOTYPE + TESTING

An early surfaced desire was for half ratings. Initially, our requirements were only going to include 1-5, but with most users wanting half stars, this ultimately made it into the MVP.
